A Journey to the Irish Village on Cape Cod

We just returned from our annual trip (March 27-28, 2010) to the Irish Village in Falmouth, MA on beautiful Cape Cod. Though it was a bit chilly, our first stop was the beach where we gathered shells and tried to keep the wind from blowing our hats off. Despite the cool temperatures, it was great to be by the ocean again. I can’t imagine why but no one wanted to swim in the ocean. NOT! BURR.

After checking into our hotel, we changed into our bathing suits and enjoyed the indoor pool and hot tub (a much better choice). While swimming and playing, we mingled with many of the other hotel guests. Making new acquaintances is always an added pleasure when we venture out on our trips.

The Irish eyes were smiling as we ate a big dinner at the pub and then danced off some calories to the lively Irish music played by the Black Velvet Band.  Joshua B. met a young woman there who he had gone to Nashoba High school with!  They had the opportunity to dance and catch up on old times. What a small world we live in.

The Christmas Tree Shop was our last stop on the Cape. Don’t you just love a bargain!

We had a great time eating, swimming, dancing a jig collecting shells and shopping.

I hope you can come along with us next year! Sign up early!
