Manuel Clavijo

Manuel is a seasoned leader and clinician with deep behavioral health, program management, and non-profit leadership expertise. With over 15 years of experience, he has dedicated his career to advancing mental health equity and access, particularly within Latinx communities. As Director of Behavioral Health Partners of MetroWest, LLC at Advocates, Inc., Manuel oversaw care coordination, provider engagement, and strategic partnerships to deliver high-quality, integrated care across the region.

Manuel is also the founder and primary clinician at Mindful Abundance Counseling LLC, where he offers bilingual, culturally attuned mental health services to individuals navigating trauma, mood disorders, and life transitions. His clinical practice and leadership reflect a commitment to addressing social determinants of health and empowering underserved populations.

Previously, Manuel held senior roles at Family Continuity, where he directed behavioral health operations across Central and Northeast Massachusetts, managed multidisciplinary teams, and led community care integration efforts. His background includes extensive work with immigrant and refugee populations, program development, and cross-sector collaboration.

Manuel is pursuing a Doctorate in Leadership Psychology at William James College, with a focus on non-profit organizations. He holds graduate degrees in Counseling Psychology, Theology, and Divinity. He combines clinical insight with ethical and culturally grounded leadership.

A passionate advocate and humanitarian, Manuel has co-founded community health initiatives, served as a Global Ambassador for Catholic Relief Services, and received formal recognition from the Massachusetts Senate and Department of Public Health for his public health and social justice contributions.

Manuel is deeply grateful to join the Arc of Opportunity in North Central Massachusetts as its new Vice President of Compliance. He looks forward to advancing the organization's mission and supporting the individuals we serve and their families in reaching their fullest potential and enhancing their quality of life.
