Saturday Recreation - McAuliffe - Shepard Discovery Center

The McAuliffe-Shepard Discovery Center is an interactive science museum and planetarium dedicated to inspiring curiosity about space, science, and exploration. Named in honor of astronaut Christa McAuliffe and Alan Shepard, the first American in space, the center offers hands-on exhibits, immersive planetarium shows, and educational programs for visitors of all ages. Guests can explore topics such as astronomy, physics, and Earth science while engaging in fun, interactive learning experiences that encourage discovery and innovation.

To attend Saturday Recreation events, please make sure that you have completed a Weekend Recreation Intake Packet. If you have not, please fill it out and return it to the Family Supports and Recreation Coordinator, Michelle Feliciano @ 978-343-6662 ext. 1013 (office), 978-382-4636 (mobile), or m.feliciano@arcofopportunity.org.

Please arrive at The Arc 15 minutes prior to the start time of the event. We cannot hold the van for attendees that arrive more than 15 minutes after the start time of the event. The Arc offices are at 564 Main Street in Fitchburg, MA 01420. The GPS address is 161 Boulder Drive, Fitchburg MA 01420. When dropping off, please make sure that attendees are welcomed into the building prior to leaving the parking lot. Refunds can only be given with 24-hours-notice.
