The Arc’s spring dinner for our home care providers was held on May 24th, 2018 at Leominster City Hall. This year the theme was red white and blue in honor of Memorial Day. Our home care providers enjoyed a delicious BBQ chicken dinner while socializing with family members, friends, and other providers.
VP of Home Supports Peter Van Voorhis introduced one of the newest members of our Division, Laural Aeisi, Division Director of Nursing, who happily handed out pizza to guests. President and CEO Mary Heafy spoke to the group about the importance of voting, as well as contacting legislators to advocate for continued funding for Medicare and Medicaid, which is vital to our AFC program. She also mentioned simply thanking legislators who keep disability programs funded on the state and local level.
Our DJ Pat was fantastic, playing many favorites during dinner and then encouraging guests to come up and participate in karaoke after our raffle. Care providers and staff had a chance to win several prizes that were donated including gift cards, a first aid kit, a t-shirt, and even a dozen farm fresh eggs! A wonderful time was had by all.
