Recreation Program's Trip To The White Mountains

Want to know how much fun we have on overnight trips? Just look at Stephanie’s and Betty's faces! Recently, The Arc organized a trip to Franconia in the beautiful White Mountains of New Hampshire. With the whole Gale River Motel to ourselves, we were able to enjoy swimming, games, and a lot of laughing. Betty is an active volunteer in Family Support and Recreation Department and Stephanie is an active member of our Recreation Department as well as in our Community Based Day and Employment Supports program. Stay tuned to see more pictures from the rest of the trip. You might see some familiar faces as well as new ones!

In connection with our Family Support program, the Recreation Support program provides safe and secure experiences - from day trips to long weekends - for individuals with disabilities to have a new experience, make new friends, and most of all have fun! Throughout the Recreation Support program, our staff works with the individuals to encourage them to choose which new community-based experiences they want to participate in. Want to learn more about upcoming trips as well as volunteer opportunities? Just ask Madeline Merchant, the Program Director of Family Support and Recreation!
