The Arc's Spring Provider Dinner

The Arc held our spring themed dinner for home care providers on May 2, 2019, at Leominster City Hall. Individuals and care providers enjoyed a delicious home cooked meal while socializing with family, friends, and staff from The Arc. With a few new faces as well as providers who have been with the agency for many years, this annual tradition broke an attendance record!

The Arc was grateful to have State Representative Natalie Higgins attend to present on the budget process and encourage advocacy. She explained the importance of contacting state legislators to advocate for funding that affects programs that support people with disabilities. Additionally, information about the Massachusetts workforce crisis was distributed to providers with a short survey for feedback on how a staffing shortage can affect the individuals they support.

The night concluded with a chance to win several prizes, including the favored Boston sports attire. A special thank you to DJ Pat for returning and playing the attendees their favorite tunes. The provider dinner is a chance for The Arc's Division of AFC and Shared homes to “keep things fun” and “celebrate success”. It was a fun and informative night. See you all again in the fall for the next dinner!
