The Arc of Opportunity’s Day Habilitation, endeavors to create an environment where men and women with disabilities find a place that inspires their personal growth and development to reach their highest level of independence. To have a meaningful day that provides custom support focused on their continual growth.
We accomplish this by following a Mass Heath funded medical model that focuses on physical therapy, occupational therapy, clinical supports as well speech and language therapy. With an R.N available to manage all the medical needs of and individual, the rest of our staff strives to combine adult education with occupational and sensorimotor activities.
In our Day Habilitation program an occupational therapist, physical therapist, and a speech and language specialist work together create a personal therapeutic plan focused on the individual growth of each person.
The Day Habilitation team offers both group activities as well as individualized activities depending on the preferences and needs of each.
By combining adult education and therapeutic subjects with occupational and sensorimotor activities, we offer 8-week courses desired to provide personal growth and development at the person’s highest level of independence.
Clinical & Nursing Supports
The Day Habilitation nurse is available during all program hours to coordinate day habilitation services through administering medications and treatments, monitoring and reporting health status, and documenting changes in the condition of an individual to their physician.
