Going the Extra Mile

Jodie is an outstanding member of the Supported Community Living program, but after she works on her own goals she becomes a member of the community who goes the extra mile, literally!  Jodie strives to train year round to participate in 5k's that raise money for several different causes.  She works very hard to cross the finish line and support something that she believes in. 

Currently Jodie is training for the "Best Buddies Challenge", which requires her to be on a bike for the number of miles needed to cross the finish line.  Jodie strongly believes that her body benefits from all the training because it keeps her healthy and motivated.  Undoubtedly, Jodie's actions alone are motivating to everyone and demonstrate we all should look inside and push ourselves to "physically" be part of the community and help others.  The benefits are far more rewarding than you will ever imagine.
