Roger, who lives at one of The Arc of Opportunity’s newly built residential homes, recently celebrated his 59th birthday. Roger intended to celebrate big since he had just moved into his new house. Staff assisted Roger with organizing and planning his party. On the day of the party, Roger had a great celebration, opening his presents from friends and family and sharing with all who attended “I am so happy to be celebrating my birthday in my new home.”
Even though Roger’s birthday was a month ago, he continues to share his joy about moving into his new home. He enjoys all the amenities available to him including working out on the treadmill, doing his own laundry and assisting with others chores around the house. The newly built home has truly enhanced the quality of Roger’s life and he is proud to share that with everyone.
