Nick deserves this award for many different reasons. I have personally seen him “Lead by Example” on several different occasions. Nick became the Residential Manager of the new Hubbardston group home in September 2018. With everything that came with opening a new group home, he made it a point to guide and mentor each and every one of his staff members. He held staff meetings and made sure to train staff efficiently. Essentially, he made sure that everyone knew how to best support the ladies moving in. He encourages the individuals who live at the home to enhance their capabilities on a daily basis. He consistently handles any concerns or questions in a “Be Positive” attitude. When and if a problematic situation arises, Nick handles everything with such ease and truly sets a wonderful example for everyone. Nick directly supports the staff and the individuals of the home. One of the individuals told me that Nick is “Amazing” and that she “felt in her heart, that he truly cares for them.”
The way that Nick interacts with the individuals speaks volumes of his character and him as a manager. He sets the best example for all of the staff at the Hubbardston house. Many staff has said that they feel lucky to have Nick as a boss. He is a leader to us all and is truly appreciated. Nick “Keeps Things Fun” with his singing, telling jokes, or simply wanting to put a smile on everyone’s face. He is truly an amazing Manager.
