The Way of The Arc Champion for January 2019 is Julie Reynolds!

I’d like to nominate an employee who has dedicated 7 strong years of outstanding service to The Arc. Julie Reynolds started out as a Direct Service Professional working with the wonderful ladies at one of our group homes in Leominster and quickly worked her way up to Assistant Manager. Though stationed at the Leominster home, she spent lots of time working and building deep-rooted and meaningful relationships in all of the North Central homes. I worked with Julie as a Direct Service Professional during this time and she has always been a true embodiment of the fundamental “Practice the Human Touch”-amongst many others; and as the 11th Fundamental states, her “Genuine compassion can’t be faked.” This speaks to her essence in every way. Julie’s compassion and sincere nature shines for everyone to notice. She always “Does what’s right by our clients” and has their best interest at heart with everything she does.

After working at the first Leominster home for several years, she transferred to another Leominster home as the second Assistant Residential Manager. Julie brought that same devotion along with her while still maintaining those relationships built in the other homes. Julie has been at the Second Leominster home going on 4 years now and has been a great asset to the team and in particular to myself. I came back to the company in 2017. Julie was the acting Residential Manager and was a great resource for me as I settled in. If I had any questions about the guys, Julie had the answers. Julie remains a strong team member today and helps in maintaining a strong presence on her end of the week. She does appointments willingly and is diligent with communication and uploading paperwork afterward. Julie takes the reins in making sure every individual gets a birthday party with a cake, decorations, and gifts each year. She is always thinking ahead and advocating for the people she serves. These are just a few examples of her great efforts. Julie has been a benefit to residential over the years and I’m happy to give credit where it’s due. I’m sure if you speak with individuals, guardians, and staff members that have worked along with her, they would quickly say the same. Thank you for all you do Julie, you are a true Champion!
