Nicole Cook joined The Arc in January of 2020. Nicole’s career in the Human Service field began in 2007 as a direct support person and caregiver while earning a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Fitchburg State University. In 2012 she was licensed by the Massachusetts Board of Registration in Nursing. Her work in the field then continued at the Robert F. Kennedy Children’s Action and, more recently, as the Director of Nursing and Health Services for the Evergreen Center, working with youth and adult individuals with disabilities.
Nicole brings a wealth of knowledge and experience as a MAP trainer and nurse monitor. She has served on many committees including the Leadership Steering Committee, Cultural Competence, LGBTQ & Allies, Trauma Informed Care, Staff Appreciation, and Events Planning Committee. She is currently working towards a Master of Science in Nursing as well as an Integrative Health Certification through Regis College. Additionally, she is pursuing a Developmental Disabilities Nursing Certification through the DDNA.
Nicole resides here in Fitchburg and enjoys cooking, crocheting, hiking, and spending time with her husband and their young daughter.
