Francis Hurley

Fran Hurley joined The Arc of Opportunity team in July 2019 as Chief Financial Officer. Fran earned his Masters of Business Administration in Finance from Hofstra University and his B.A. in Accounting from Queens College, Fran brings finance and administration experience from his prior work with both non-profit and for-profit organizations.

Before joining The Arc of Opportunity, Fran was President and CEO of the Boys and Girls Clubs of MetroWest for 12 years. Club Member attendance improved 50% over that time period due to improved facilities and quality programming. Fran initially became affiliated with the Boys and Girls Club as a volunteer coach in their basketball program.

Prior to joining the Boys and Girls Club, Fran’s for-profit experience was primarily with retail organizations. Fran held positions with progressively more responsibility with a number of companies starting with the parent of Lord and Taylor, Barnes and Noble, May Department Stores International, and ending as Assistant to the Chairman with Filenes.

Fran lives with his wife and son and their ferocious 4 lb. guard dog Bella.
