Day Programs
Supportive Community Options
Supportive Community Options is a day program that operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The Program services over 40 individuals per day. People who attend the Program have the option of participating in community based recreational/leisure activities, on-site paid work, off-site paid work, or taking part in the Program’s entrepreneurial businesses. The Program also offers a variety of community volunteer opportunities.
Elder Services
The Elder Services Program provides individuals age 50 and older the opportunity to participate in social/recreation and leisure-time activities, as well as have involvement with volunteer work and civic projects. This Program plans a great deal of their activities to take place in the general community, utilizing resources available to the general public. Community resources utilized include senior centers, libraries, museums, tourist attractions, fishing, shopping, and restaurants. Activities are also scheduled in the communities in which people reside, so that they can become more familiar with what is available in their hometown. The Program operates Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m.–3:00 p.m.
Day Habilitation
The ARC Day Habilitation Program provides individuals the opportunity to refine their activity of daily living skills, participate in physical, speech, behavioral, and occupational therapies, with the focus on becoming more independent in their lives. Participants work on therapeutic objectives while on day trips as well as while volunteering in the community.
The Day Habilitation Program received a Three-Year CARF Accreditation in February 2009. This latest accreditation is the second consecutive Three-Year Accreditation that the international accrediting body has awarded to the ARC Community Services Day Habilitation program.
