A Trip to Boston

I recently had the pleasure of attending an All Aboard The Arc rally on the Boston Common.   We listened to speakers advocate for continued programs and supports for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families.    We were entertained by the sounds of Justin Hines, a Canadian singer/songwriter who performs at many fundraisers.   He was gracious enough to talk with us afterwards and we took several pictures of him with our individuals and staff.   It was a picture perfect day-warm and sunny with a cloudless blue sky.   We all enjoyed walking around the common and taking in the sights and sounds of downtown Boston.    Danny and I located a hot dog vendor and had lunch together.   We both agreed that eating lunch outside in the sunshine and with friends made everything taste so much better.

We couldn’t pass up the opportunity to have our picture taken in front of the state house.   Boston is the birthplace of independence and liberty and it is only fitting that the people we serve celebrate their march towards equality and fulfillment in this setting.
