Over a period of a few months, Jackie, from one of our group homes, worked with support staff to budget and plan for a day trip to Six Flags in Western Massachusetts in August. When the day had finally come, Jackie had a full list of events to do once she arrived. Jackie rode several of the roller coasters, went on a flying ride, rode on the teacups with staff and enjoyed watching other park visitors on the rides. Jackie made it a point to stop and get souvenirs for herself, housemates and family and enjoyed some lunch in the park and dinner on her way home.
Jackie enjoyed her trip so much she is planning a weekend trip next summer to visit Cape Cod and spend some time on the beach! Currently, Jackie is exploring some local classes to take over the fall and winter to develop her cooking and art skills.
