Sales Calls
Sales Calls …… some are fun, some are interesting, some are frustrating, but most are truly remarkable. Each time I go out on sales calls, a certain sense of anxiety comes over me. You never know what is going to happen. Most of my calls are to procure new jobs for the people we support. I often find myself on a mission to go to one company only to find that for some reason my car drives into another company. It has turned out to be that the place I didn’t intend to go to has become one of our biggest customers. Many sales calls are set up by appointment and many are cold calls, some come from referrals from colleagues and friends and others are from my prospecting efforts. Once we procure the work, the rest is easy. So you would think! Well, I am here to tell you there is a lot of maintenance in retaining loyal customers. It takes communication, quality work, on time production and so much more.
But I have to say the best and most rewarding sales calls are the ‘Thank You Calls’. It is a time where I can express my gratitude on behalf of our company for all the work that our customers provide our individuals with each year.
Today, I brought along two of the individuals from the production floor. Donald and Molly work hard to produce the products that our customers require. I wanted the individuals who truly reap the rewards by the work, to have a chance to say “thank you” in their own words. We brought platters of holiday cookies to our customers in Leominster and Fitchburg. Both Donald and Molly were professional and gracious as they offered the cookies to be enjoyed.
Days like this make me take pause and appreciate that the work we do and all the lives we touch each day truly are a blessing.
One of our visits was at Minuteman, pictured here; Achla, Molly, Donald, and Ashok. Minuteman International is the parent company of ACHLA Designs which caters to the home and garden industry. Visit the website and discover all the beautiful creations. www.achla.com Minuteman International / Achla Designs is owned by Ashok Hingorany and his wife Achla Bahl Madan.
With sincere gratitude, we wish you all a very Happy Holiday!
