Arc Community Services Hires New Engineer

FITCHBURG (February 11, 2011) – Mary Heafy, President and CEO of Arc Community Services, is pleased to announce that the organization has retain McKenzie Engineering Co., Inc to conduct a comprehensive assessment of their facility at 564 Main Street in Fitchburg, Massachusetts.  The scheduled work will provide professional design services for an extensive facility renovation project, which balances feasibility, cost and scheduling requirements including the structural evaluation of current conditions, identification and documentation of code compliance matters, space layout and structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components and systems design.

McKenzie Engineering Co., Inc. is a full service design and engineering firm based in Leominster, MA.  From conceptual planning to comprehensive building documents, McKenzie provides full service design and consulting services for commercial, residential, industrial, medical, and governmental projects. Peter M. Reynolds, P.E., President of McKenzie Engineering Co., Inc, is a graduate of Northeastern University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering, and is a Registered Professional Engineer in Massachusetts, New York, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and New Jersey.  Peter has 35 years of design experience and his clientele is broad based, including members from both the commercial and residential community, and the trades.  Together with his staff of design professionals, Peter is looking forward to “working with the good people at Arc Community Services on this very important project”.

 Arc Community Services has raised $3.3 million dollars toward the project and is actively seeking the final million dollars needed to complete the project through grants and donations.
