Holiday Spirit
In the hustle and bustle of the Holiday season, it seems the simplest activities are what really count. As businesses wind down their production for their year-end inventories, we find ourselves winding down in production for a few short weeks. Perhaps it is no accident that this happens, as it provides staff and individuals a wonderful opportunity to connect in a different element.
Who doesn’t love fresh evergreens in a centerpiece on their holiday table? The smell on fresh pine brings the richness of the season inside. So with the kindness of our CEO Mary Heafy, who brought a truckload of evergreens from her home, the fun began.
Everyone who wanted to could participate. Many decided to create a beautiful centerpiece of evergreens, glitter, ribbons and holiday décor. Everyone just really enjoyed making a centerpiece to bring home. Some decided to give their centerpiece as a gift to someone special to them. Just to see the interaction of everyone working together to transform large branches of pine into beautiful arrangements was amazing and joyful, and such in the spirit of the season.
They really enjoyed bringing Mary a centerpiece as a gift to thank her for the fresh evergreens they used and to her husband for his part in cutting the greens. Thank you to Cheryl Murphy for taking pictures and to both Meagan and Cheryl for their enthusiasm and caring assistance with everyone who worked on the centerpieces. Special thank you to Allyson Chalapatas for initiating the project and infusing the workplace with joy.
